This project was worked on in cooperation between the Zueitina Company and the National Oil Corporation and was managed by the Libyan Post Telecommunications & Information Technology . Its implementation began through Rawafed Libya Company in April 2023 and was completed at the end of October 2023 to enter service at the beginning of November. Work has begun to connect the port’s Internet network via this cable as a first step, and it has achieved unprecedentedly high levels, reaching three times the previous Internet speed. The actual speed at the port was tested to reach more than 180 Mpbs. This in itself is a very advanced step in terms of communication quality.
